Home School Riding Lessons
Special day-time riding lessons run in 8 week blocks. The kids will meet at the same time each week with the same group of kids.

2007 - 2008 Schedule:
Session 1: September 25 - November 15
Session 2: Novemer 27 - January 29 ( No lessons 12/25 - 1/1)
Session 3: February 5 - April 8
Session 4: April 10 - June 5 (No lessons 4/24)

The cost is $227 for the 8 week session. The whole session has to be paid in advance. If a lesson is missed for any reason, we will offer several opportunities for make-ups during the 8 week sessions. If students want to continue after the initial 8 weeks (it is our goal for them to enjoy it!) we will keep the same class going forward.

The kids are placed in classes according to age and ability. Horseback riding lessons are very social as well as physical. They learn about coordination, giving and following directions, and mastering challenges. The kids also build new friendships, human and equine.

The only thing they would need to purchase is the mandatory approved riding helmet. We have a tack shop located right outside of Burtonsville where they will get a discount. Other than that, they should wear long pants and some sort of boot or shoe with a small heel.
